The Janey Law Firm is proud of this prestigious appointment and recognition by the Board of Governors for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. While Derrelle Janey is admitted to practice in several federal courts across the country, the Eastern District of New York was one of his first federal court admissions as a younger lawyer. There, he has appeared before federal judges and magistrate judges across a wide number of cases, including complex criminal matters and years long intense civil matters. While demonstrating zealous advocacy for his clients, Derrelle also demonstrated integrity, poise, intelligence and a strong appreciation for presenting cogent legal arguments in a manner that distinguished him. This appointment, in part, is a recognition of that discipline.
Derrelle looks forward to working with his fellow members of the committee and the committee chair to make effective recommendations for vacancies to the District Court.
